“The Golden State Warriors may be the next NBA team to accept bitcoin as currency to pay for various goods and services, according to the Wall Street Journal. On Thursday, the Sacramento Kings announced via owner Vivek Ranadive that they would be the trail blazers in professional sports by accepting bitcoin in Sleep Train Arena and online. Though the technology is still new and there’s a lot of reluctancy to accept it among consumers, the ownership responsible for keeping the Kings in Sacramento has embraced the idea of enhancing the fan experience. If trying something new and taking a risk pans out, it could pay big dividends.”
