For two simple reasons: the travel ban omits the home countries of the 19 identified 9/11 suspects, including Saudi Arabia, now widely suspected to have been complicit in the 9/11 attacks. Also, no citizens of the seven countries in the travel ban have been implicated in any other post-9/11 terrorist attacks.
