“A former Phoenix police officer who handled drunken driving cases has been sentenced to 90 days in jail after pleading guilty in a forgery case. Television station KPHO reports that 38-year-old Jerry Schuiteboer was also sentenced Friday to two years of probation and he must pay more than $14,000 in restitution. Schuiteboer resigned and pleaded guilty to two felony counts of forgery in July. He was accused of burning his truck in the desert and collecting insurance money. Dozens of the DUI cases he worked could be altered or dismissed.”
