With trans fats consumption trending down already, why should the FDA ‘fix’ the problem through coercion and prohibition? How is that moral? And where does the FDA get the authority? The Constitution gives only Congress the power to pass federal laws. It CANNOT delegate this power to unelected bureaucrats. To do so mocks the rule of law and representative government. At least when Congress passes bad laws, you have to explain your votes to the people. FDA busybodies have no such accountability.”
