“Rudy Giuliani pompously claimed on national TV that he was surprised about any Chechens being responsible for the Boston Marathon bombings because he’s never seen any indication that Chechen extremists harbored animosity toward the U.S.; Guiliani thought they were only focused on Russia.  Giuliani knows full well how the Chechen ‘terrorists’ proved useful to the U.S. in keeping pressure on the Russians, much as the Afghan mujahedeen were used in the anti-Soviet war in Afghanistan from 1980 to 1989. In fact, many neocons signed up as Chechnya’s ‘friends,’ including former CIA Director James Woolsey.”

This was part of a larger operation that involved total lockdown of the suburban neighbor to Boston.”

“During the occupation of Boston it was widely reported that the bombing suspects had robbed a 7/11. That turned out to be false. The robbery was perpetrated by others. That’s right; with a massive police state presence, criminals were undeterred. But how convenient for officials to let the story float for nearly a day? It’s looking like that is not the only whopper coming from officials (shocking, I know).  Police Chief Wiggum’s story about the ‘shootout’ in the early hours of Friday morning is completely contradicted by an eye-witness. She says the cops ran over the older brother, and then, in what seemed to be retaliation, filled him full of lead.”

Czechs unrelated to Chechens, diplomats remark after Boston blast

That’s a distinction the Czech ambassador to the United States wants to make crystal clear after news emerged that the two suspects in Boston Marathon bombing had Chechen origins. ‘The Czech Republic and Chechnya are two very different entities – the Czech Republic is a Central European country; Chechnya is a part of the Russian Federation,’ Petr Gandalovic, the Czech ambassador, wrote on the embassy’s website on Friday.  The unusual statement followed a series of Twitter messages from people who apparently struggled to distinguish the two places with similar names.”

New York Republican recommends ‘torture’ for teenage Boston bomb suspect

Ball has advocated torturing the teen police are accusing of helping execute the Boston Marathon bombings that killed three and injured more than 140. ‘So, scum bag #2 in custody,’ he wrote on Twitter Friday night. ‘Who wouldn’t use torture on this punk to save more lives?'”
