Police Officers Took 1,196 American Lives in 2015

“It is important to note that this number only includes the reported killings.  Most police misconduct goes entirely unreported.  For all anybody knows, the actual number could be anywhere between 2,000-3,000.  At least 27% of the people killed by police were suffering from mental illness, and instead of getting the help they needed, they were exterminated.  On the other hand, the number of police officers who were killed by gunfire has dropped dramatically — a nearly 15% reduction compared to previous years.  It is therefore puzzling as to why cops and their mainstream media lapdogs continue to insist that there is a ‘War on Cops’ in America.”

Oklahoma Official Used Asset Forfeiture to Pay Back His Student Loans

“An assistant district attorney in the state of Oklahoma lived rent-free in a house confiscated by local law enforcement under the practice of asset forfeiture. His office paid the utility bills. He remained there for five years, despite a court order to sell the house at auction.  Another district attorney used $5,000 worth of confiscated funds to pay back his student loans.  These are just a few of the gems unearthed during a recent hearing on Oklahoma authorities’ liberal use of asset forfeiture to take property from suspected criminals and spend it on personal enrichment.  Unsurprisingly, cops are desperate to preserve the practice.”

“14 states have laws on the books guaranteeing a bill of rights for cops (and sometimes also correctional officers who are under investigation by their superiors. As many as 11 other states are considering similar legislation, and many of the rest have written essentially the same rights and privileges into their contracts with the police unions. A bill calling for adoption of a national LEOBoR is pending in Congress, and is re-introduced often.  LEOBoR is the original Bill of Rights with an upgrade, assuring police officers treatment that they themselves do not consistently offer to suspects they are questioning.”

The Logic of the Police State

“Now that the video has been revealed, a year after Noel Aguilar was murdered on the street because one deputy got shot by another deputy, and so they were entitled to kill one person who happened to have nothing to do with it, it turns out that every assumption the system force feeds the public was a lie.  That one cop shot another cop, so they both murdered a guy named Noel Aguilar, never makes its way into the official narrative, except when there’s video.  The only concern for Aguilar was to make sure he was smeared as thoroughly as his criminal history allowed.”

Dad Breaks Down Over Having Called Chicago Cops Who Killed His Son

When officers arrived, they ‘accidentally‘ shot and killed Quintonio, 19, and the LeGriers’ downstairs neighbor, Bettie Jones, 55. ‘No one expected the Chicago police department to just start shooting into a doorway where a young man may or may not have had a weapon when the door opened,’ LeGrier said. ‘Maybe it was an inexperienced officer who wasn’t trained on how to respond to these situations. I’m not sure what it is. All I know is right now two innocent people are dead because an officer made a decision that was not the right one.'”
