IMF Launches Old-Fashioned Propaganda on YouTube

“This video, which has just gone up on YouTube, tells the tale of the formation of the International Monetary Fund.  Interestingly, it’s been placed on YouTube by the IMF itself, which has its own YouTube channel. You can read the description of the IMF above.  The newsreel, which must have been put together in the 1940s or early 1950s, sounds like any other Western propaganda of the time. The sonorous voice-over of the narrator telling us what to believe is especially noteworthy – and would be amusing if one didn’t already know how much suffering the IMF has caused.”

Fake Eggs Are No Joke (2010)

“The journalist follows the trail of one of the ads to a man in Shandong who claims to be the ‘Father of Man-made eggs’. The man, never named, tells how he charges 800RMB (US$120) per student. In his classes, the ‘Father’ teaches how to make the egg-shell (the most important part of the process) as well as the yolk and white. According to the report, the man has taught college graduates as well as peasants and enjoys a comfortable living — safe from the authorities or anyone else — teaching down and out Chinese how to make fake eggs and get rich.”

Monsanto Cancer Milk: FOX Kills Story, Fires Reporters (1997)

“In 1997, the news division of WTVT in Tampa, Florida, planned to air an investigative report by Steve Wilson and Jane Akre on the health risks associated with Monsanto’s bovine growth hormone product, Posilac. Just before the story was to air, Fox received a threatening letter from Monsanto, saying the reporters were biased and that the story would damage the company. Fox tried to work with the reporters to address Monsanto’s concerns; Akre stated that she and Wilson went through 83 rewrites over eight months.Negotiations broke down and both reporters were eventually fired.”

The Secret Team – L. Fletcher Prouty (1989)

Leroy Fletcher Prouty (January 24, 1917 – June 5, 2001) served as Chief of Special Operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff under President John F. Kennedy. A former colonel in the United States Air Force he retired from military service to become a banker, and subsequently became a critic of U.S. foreign policy, particularly the covert activities of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) about which he had considerable insider knowledge.
