“The brutal, senseless knifing of a dozen students at a community college in Texas has mobilized the knife control movement. Apparently, authorities expected a series of copy-cat knifings. Knife control advocates are considering whether now is the right time to call for background checks on citizens who buy knives. The possibility of universal knife registration is being considered.”

“In 1776, the Society for the Protection of Loyal Colonists (SPLC) issued a report warning of the rise of the so-called ‘Patriot Movement’ in the American colonies. SPLC spokesman Marcus Potok announced his organization had been monitoring the takeover of royal legislatures, militias, and town councils by anti-government extremists. ‘Dangerous men such as John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock, and Benjamin Franklin have stoked the fires of sedition and radicalism among the King’s subjects. As a result, illegal militias have seen explosive growth, fueled by a furious reaction to much-needed revenue laws duly enacted under the authority of the King.'”

New Poll Finds 86 Percent Of Americans Don’t Want To Have A Country Anymore [2006]
“Among the 86 percent of poll respondents who were in favor of discontinuing the nation, the most frequently cited reasons were a lack of significant results from the current democratic process (36 percent), dissatisfaction with customer service (28 percent), and exhaustion (22 percent). Of those who were against maintaining an American nation, 77 percent said they believe that having a country is ‘counter to the best interests of Americans.’ Twelve percent said ‘the time and effort citizens spend on the country could be better spent elsewhere,’ and 8 percent said they just didn’t care.”
