The EU Joins the Syrian War More Directly

“U.S. Secretary of State Kerry went to Europe urging that the European Union drop its embargo on shipments of heavy arms into the hands of the Syrian rebels. Are we surprised that the EU has now done exactly that? The article says ‘British Foreign Secretary William Hague says the amended embargo puts pressure on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to seek a non-military solution to more than two years of fighting.’ Remember that a political process occurred in February of 2012 when a new Syrian constitution was passed overwhelmingly. The EU’s decision affirms that the EU intends violently to overthrow Assad in violation of their oaths in the U.N.”

It’s hard to imagine that twelve years after 9/11, Senator McCain would be calling for US foreign and military aid be given to ‘the Jihad.’  Interestingly enough, this is the same Senator McCain who championed NDAA 2012, which gives our government the right to indefinitely detain Americans for doing exactly what he did: supporting elements aligned with al-Qaeda.”

“llinois resident Michael Cook has been charged with drug and firearms offenses in East St. Louis following the death of a colleague from a cocaine overdose. Cook and his friend, Joe Christ, were staying at a hunting lodge last March 10 when Christ was found dead. Cook was accused of using heroin while in possession of firearms. There are two unusual – and, most likely, related – aspects of this case. The first is that Cook and Christ were sitting Circuit Court Judges. The second is that Cook, despite being accused of firearms-related felonies, was released on his own recognizance – most likely as a matter of ‘professional courtesy’ from another judge.”

I certainly hope the latter is the case.’  Dominic Aguilar of Roseville, California, whose friend Ernesto Duenez, Jr. was gunned down in his front yard by a police officer named John Moody, was arrested and charged with a felony for a Facebook post expressing the hope that Moody would meet a violent end. Why was one considered a crime, but not the other?”

Members Of LAPD SWAT Team Caught Selling Department Guns

“The FBI is investigating whether members of the Los Angeles Police Department’s elite SWAT and Special Investigations Section units violated the law by purchasing large numbers of custom-made handguns and reselling them for profit, according to interviews.  The move comes after an earlier LAPD investigation found no wrongdoing on the part of officers. But on Friday, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck acknowledged that that probe was ‘clearly lacking’ and said the department has opened a second investigation of the weapons transactions that is still ongoing.”

IRS Official Lois Lerner Refuses To Resign – Gets Paid Leave Of $3,557.69 A Week

“First she refused to testify. Now Lois Lerner, the IRS official at the center of the tax agency scandal, is refusing to resign, according to a top Republican senator. Sources confirmed to Fox News earlier Thursday that Lerner, the head of the IRS division that oversaw the unit targeting conservative groups, had been placed on administrative leave, with pay.  But Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, claimed she was only put in that status after refusing to step down.”
