Americans Overwhelmingly Opposed to Endless US Military Interventions

“86.4 percent of those surveyed feel the American military should be used only as a last resort, while 57 percent feel that US military aid to foreign countries is counterproductive. The latter sentiment ‘increases significantly’ when involving countries like Saudi Arabia, with 63.9 percent saying military aid—including money and weapons—should not be provided to such countries. The poll shows strong, indeed overwhelming, support, for Congress to reassert itself in the oversight of US military interventions, with 70.8 percent of those polled saying Congress should pass legislation that would restrain military action overseas.”
Pakistan ditches dollar for yuan in trade with China after Trump tweet

“A day after the U.S. leader slammed Islamabad for harboring terrorists in a New Year’s Day tweet, Pakistan’s central bank announced that it will be replacing the dollar with the yuan for bilateral trade and investment with Beijing. With a steady stream of Chinese capital under its belt, Pakistan may no longer be receptive to American threats, the most recent of which involves Washington cutting off security assistance.”
IRS Tyranny Against Swiss Bankers Halted By Federal Juries

Facebook Deleting Accounts at the Direction of the U.S. and Israeli Governments

“As is always true of censorship, there is one, and only one, principle driving all of this: power. That’s why declared enemies of the U.S. and Israeli governments are vulnerable to censorship measures by Facebook, whereas U.S and Israeli officials (and their most tyrannical and repressive allies) are not.”
Ron Paul on Iran Protests…CIA Fingerprints?
“Is it just a coincidence that the biggest protests since 2009 have hit Iran shortly after a secret agreement was revealed between Washington, Tel Aviv, and Riyadh to destabilize Iran? And shortly after a new Executive Order was issued by President Trump allowing him to seize US assets of anyone he deems a ‘human rights abuser’ …or anyone who aids a designated ‘human rights abuser’?”
Sabotaging Peace in Korea
“It just might be that the two Koreas are figuring out a way to avoid war, much to the anger and chagrin of President Trump and the U.S. national-security establishment, who are obviously increasingly viewing war as inevitable and even in the best interests of the United States.”

Trump boasts his ‘nuclear button’ is bigger, but he doesn’t really have one

“The process for launching a nuclear strike is secret and complex and involves the use of a nuclear ‘football,’ which is carried by a rotating group of military officers everywhere the president goes and is equipped with communication tools and a book with prepared war plans. If the president were to order a strike, he would identify himself to military officials at the Pentagon with codes unique to him. Those codes are recorded on a card known as the ‘biscuit’ that is carried by the president at all times. He would then transmit the launch order to the Pentagon and Strategic Command.”

EU leaders toast launch of European army

“Twenty-five of the EU’s current 28 members have signed up — Britain, Malta and Denmark are not involved. Key EU member states including France and Germany have long-campaigned for greater defence and security integration.
