“Most U.S. news accounts last night quickly skimmed over — or outright ignored — the rather critical fact that the U.S. ships had ‘drifted into’ Iranian waters. Instead, all sorts of TV news personalities and U.S. establishment figures puffed out their chest and instantly donned their Tough Warrior pose to proclaim that this was an act of aggression — virtually an act of war: not by the U.S., but by Iran. They had taken our sailors ‘hostage,’ showing yet again how menacing and untrustworthy they are.  Somehow, the U.S. media instantly converted the invasion of Iranian waters by U.S. ships into an act of aggression by Iran.”

The Treaty of Sèvres permitted the British to seize pieces of the Ottoman Empire, which had ruled the Middle East for centuries.”

US military provided Assad with intel on CIA-supported extremists

Hersh exposes the divide between the US top brass and the politicians in the White House when it comes to dealing with Islamic extremists in Syria and Iraq.  It seems the US JCS isn’t enthusiastic about Obama’s ‘Assad must go’ maxima, opting to provide Damascus with intelligence and analytics on the jihadists instead. This is, however, done indirectly.”

Oil and the ISIS: Another US-NATO War on Libya is Imminent

According to the New York Times, U.S. foreign arms deals increased nearly $10 billion in 2014. Total sales went from $26.7 billion in 2013 to $36.2 billion in 2014, a 35 percent increase.  Meanwhile, American statists, including those in the mainstream press, continue to scream about gun-show loopholes here in the United States but remain mute about the U.S. government’s #1 position in sales of guns and other weapons around the world.”
