“Hershey, Cuba, was founded by Milton Hershey, the American chocolate tycoon who founded Hershey, Pennsylvania. Hershey invested his own money to found this town around 30 miles east of Havana.  The town revolved around a sugar mill, ‘once among the world’s most advanced,’ according to the Post. Everything in the town was first-class. ‘Neatly laid residential streets,’ houses with clapboard siding, and ‘some of the only screened-in porches anywhere in Cuba.’ Also a company hotel and ‘big, stately flagstone homes, where the American supervisors lived.’ There was also the Hershey Social Club and a golf course.”

U.S. Police Have Officially Killed 400 People in 2015

“The police have killed someone on average, every 7.48 hours.  While there is no government-run database, Killed By Police has taken it upon themselves to keep track, and are doing a fantastic job thus far. The three youngest are A’donte Washington, Jason C. Hendrix, and Kendre Omari Alston who were all only 16-years-old.  The oldest was 87-year-old Lewis Becker.  At least four officers have also been shot and killed by other officers.  Meanwhile, the Officer Down Memorial Page is reporting gunfire related deaths of on-duty officers is down 43%. According to an FBI report, Americans are less violent than ever, yet the police seem to be growing increasingly violent.”

If the president accepts the recommendation to kill, then death is ordered. The monstrous British King Henry VIII delegated the final say to his chancellor so that he could publicly disavow participation in the government murders.  Obama does not disavow them; he defends them.”

Special operations armored vehicle pulls over driver who flipped the bird

“Lucas Jewell, 23, recorded his interaction on a cellphone with a team of ASO deputies in special-operations uniforms after the imposing Lenco Bear Cat Armored Personnel Carrier stopped his Ford Taurus at the Alachua County Headquarters Library downtown.   Jewell’s video was posted to Truth Voice and it includes his explanation that he gestured at the ASO vehicle because he does not approve of having a militarized police force.  The APC was on an assignment at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium during the Orange & Blue Debut football game.  UF Police Maj. Brad Barber said the APC and the ASO SWAT Team was called to the game as part of a standing security plan that was drawn up years ago.”

War on Terror’s Economic and Mortality Costs Have Yet to Be Tallied

“Misallocation of resources, destruction of vast amounts of equipment and, of course, the ongoing costs of tending to the many veterans who have returned with significant physical and psychological damage are certainly bound to be factors that must prey on Western and especially US economies.  This doesn’t include the costs of the US’s internal militarization and authoritarian centralization. The damage to startups and entrepreneurial ventures is probably significant as well, as the US seems to head more and more toward a war footing.  The immense and yet little-understood costs of the war on terror ought to be considered by judicious analysts and investors.”

Special forces set to swarm US Southwest and operate among civilians

“Seven Southwestern states will soon be infiltrated by 1,200 military special ops personnel as part of a controversial domestic military training in which some of the elite soldiers will operate undetected among civilians.  Operation Jade Helm begins in July and will last for eight weeks. Soldiers will operate in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado where some of them wil drop from planes while carrying weapons loaded with blanks in what military officials have dubbed Realistic Military Training.  But with residents of the entire states of Texas and Utah dubbed ‘hostile’ for the purposes of the exercises, Jade Helm has some concerned the drills are too realistic.”

Chicago police detain Americans at abuse-laden ‘black site’

“The Chicago police department operates an off-the-books interrogation compound, rendering Americans unable to be found by family or attorneys while locked inside what lawyers say is the domestic equivalent of a CIA black site. The facility, a nondescript warehouse on Chicago’s west side known as Homan Square, has long been the scene of secretive work by special police units.  Interviews with local attorneys and one protester who spent the better part of a day shackled in Homan Square describe operations that deny access to basic constitutional rights. The secretive warehouse is the latest example of Chicago police practices that echo the detention abuses of the US war on terrorism.”
