The Fourth Branch: The Rise to Power of the National Security State

“The rise of the Fourth Branch began at a moment of mobilization for a global conflict, World War II.  It gained heft and staying power in the Cold War of the second half of the twentieth century, when that other superpower, the Soviet Union, provided the excuse for expansion of every sort.  Its officials bided their time in the years after the fall of the Soviet Union, when ‘terrorism’ had yet to claim the landscape and enemies were in short supply.  In the post-9/11 era, in a phony ‘wartime’ atmosphere, fed by trillions of taxpayer dollars, and under the banner of American ‘safety,’ it has grown to unparalleled size and power.  And in 2014, the expansion is ongoing.”

Ferguson is an occupation in plain sight

An alderman was arrested. Reporters from the Washington Post and Huffington Post were arrested. An Al Jazeera America news crew was attacked with teargas and had their equipment dismantled. Nonviolent protestors were confronted by a police department that is, in fact, an armed militia. The crowd stood before armored personnel carriers and men wearing Swat gear. There were snipers, aiming their rifles at unarmed, nonviolent citizens. The catalyst for all this was the killing of 18-year-old unarmed Mike Brown by an unnamed police officer later placed on paid administrative leave. He is being protected and compensated in the wake of Brown’s death.”

Criminalizing Americans for Government Profit

“While law enforcement personnel are climbing the ladder to bureaucratic success by taking people’s property, the IJ found that 80% of persons whose property was seized were never charged with a crime. There are only eight states that bar the use of forfeiture proceeds by law enforcement, while in 26 states, 100% of forfeiture proceeds are distributed to law enforcement.   Speaking in Orwellian tones like ‘protecting the public’ and ‘making you safe,’ law enforcement and regulators are, in reality, stealing from the citizenry in broad daylight, with much of the booboisie cheering it on, believing they’re made safer by this thuggery.”

We’re All Criminals and Outlaws in the Eyes of the American Police State

“As with most things, if you want to know the real motives behind any government program, follow the money trail. When you dig down far enough, as I document in my book A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State, you quickly find that those who profit from Americans being arrested are none other than the police who arrest them, the courts which try them, the prisons which incarcerate them, and the corporations, which manufacture the weapons and equipment used by police, build and run the prisons, and profit from the cheap prison labor.”

Atlantic Mag Shock: US No Longer Under ‘Rule of Law’

the-daily-bell-top-logo61

“Here comes The Atlantic magazine with a scathing article about the US’s rising lawlessness.  Perhaps the disconnect between what the US is supposed to stand for and the reality is simply getting too large to ignore. Alternatively, The Atlantic – as befits a publication involved in the globalist dialectic – is simply doing its share to inform readers that US lawlessness is growing worse, and that there is nothing they can do about it. Its goal is not solution but demoralization. Perhaps the article has a larger aim, which is to intimidate under the guise of providing an expose.  What is going on seems to us to be entirely planned out.”

Former NSA exec: The goal of the NSA is total population control

“‘At least 80% of fibre-optic cables globally go via the US’, Binney said. ‘This is no accident and allows the US to view all communication coming in. At least 80% of all audio calls, not just metadata, are recorded and stored in the US. The NSA lies about what it stores.’  Unlike Snowden, Binney didn’t take any documents with him when he left the NSA. He now says that hard evidence of illegal spying would have been invaluable. The latest Snowden leaks detail private conversations of average Americans with no connection to extremism.  It shows that the NSA is not just pursuing terrorism, as it claims, but ordinary citizens going about their daily communications.”

Police Militarization: The New Search and Seizure

“Supported by Minister of Defense Gustav Noske, right-wingers — including one Corporal Adolf Hitler — organized ex-soldiers into Freikorps, and armed them with surplus military weaponry. These militia brutally crushed Germany’s nascent post-war democratic movement. For the next 20 years, they provided the core of the feared Brownshirts, street thugs who helped Hitler and the Nazis into power.  Fast forward 100 years. Another faltering empire in domestic political crisis, the United States, brings its own frustrated warriors and their weapons back home.  Brownshirts in America — far-fetched? Not at all. They’re already here, this time dressed in black or camo.”

AK-47s become hot commodity after U.S. sanctions

“Here’s a surprising effect of the latest U.S. sanctions against Russia: a run on AK-47s.  Among the companies sanctioned this week was Kalashnikov Concern, the maker of the gun. The Obama administration issued sanctions against Russian companies in response to Russia’s role in a separatist movement in Ukraine. According to the Treasury Department, Kalashnikov Concern is banned from importing its guns — including the AK-47 and more advanced AK-74 — into the United States. But, in a statement posted on its Web site, Treasury said Americans are allowed to own, buy and sell the guns, so long as they were already in the U.S. prior to the sanctions.”

IRS Needs AR-15′s For “Standoff Capabilities”? [2013]

“The IRS, which primarily acts as an audit agency, refuses to answer why its agents need AR-15s for ‘standoff capability.’  Congressman Jeff Duncan (R-SC) wanted to know why IRS agents were buying ammo in large quantities and wanted to see the ammo supply himself.  He went to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Maryland where he witnessed 8 or 9 IRS agents using AR-15s at an indoor 100 yard firing range.  Agencies like the Department of Education, the Social Security Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the IRS continue to purchase large amounts of tactical weapons and ammunition to build up their law enforcement divisions.”

The Retention of Wealth

“The world has never seen a time like the present one. In most every facet of the economy, personal wealth is threatened. In many countries, there is the threat of greater taxation, devaluation of currencies, collapses in markets, and even outright confiscation of bank accounts.  Consequently, if the powers-that-be exert their power to (quite literally) rob their citizens, those citizens need to determine the safest havens for their wealth that they possibly can… and need to do so before the wolf arrives at the door.  As to what countries the reader might consider, several nations in the world have no income tax.  There are sixteen nations that have no property tax.”
