It’s doubtful if that group will continue without him, but the Vermont Commons folks and others like-minded will keep the dream alive.  He tended to stress what I came to call the Push reasons for secession—that is, it allows a state to get out from under an inept, dysfunctional, and evil empire so as not to go down with its inevitable collapse, and it frees it from the taxes, wars, regulations, and entangling alliances of that empire.”

Democrat Kathy Hochul Plumps for Drones at Niagara Falls Air Base

“What’s wrong with America? One thing for sure: its government. Here’s one example. There’s an air base in Niagara Falls. It’s a U.S. Air Force base called the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station. It’s run out of mission. It never had a good mission to begin with but that unproductive mission has run out. So now a local member of Congress has worked to get it a new mission, which would be DRONES. This will be approved today in the  Defense Authorization Bill being voted in Congress. Drones and the military in general are one big pork barrel. This is what the U.S. Constitution has wrought by centralizing defense in the federal government.”

China’s state-run TV broadcast of ‘V for Vendetta’ shocks viewers

“China’s state-run television network shocked viewers by broadcasting ‘V for Vendetta’, an anarchist-themed film showing an uprising against an authoritarian government.  Chinese Internet users expressed surprise after watching the broadcast, circulating subversive lines from the movie including: ‘The people should not be afraid of the government, the government should be afraid of the people.’  The film was once banned in mainland China, the state-run China Youth Daily reported, and was not shown in Chinese cinemas.”

“Republican Florida State Senate President Don Gaetz showed the true face of tyrannical RINOs in the Republican Party when he openly laughed and mocked the Constitutional principles espoused by KrisAnne Hall, an attorney and former prosecutor, who supports the Tenth Amendment and the right of the States to nullify unconstitutional laws implemented by the federal government. However, it appears that Mr. Gaetz also indicated his support of the tactic of the seventh President of the United States Andrew Jackson in how he would deal with ‘nullifiers.’ He would have them shot and hanged.”

It remains to be seen what will happen in states that are refusing to comply with deeply unpopular mandates of Obamacare by not setting up healthcare exchanges. In a free country governments derive their powers from the consent of the governed. When the people have very clearly withdrawn their consent for a law, the discussion should be over. If the feds refuse to accept that and continue to run roughshod over the people, at what point do we acknowledge that that is not freedom anymore?”
