This is what the U.S. did with Mexico and Canada. Did the U.S. relish interference from Spain, France, Great Britain and Russia into its affairs? How brainless is it to act as if the refugee crisis is an independent reason for intervening, when it is an outcome of the war itself, encouraged every step of the way by the U.S.? And why must the U.S. rectify this tragedy? What good is a ‘freedom’ that marches us off to wars willy-nilly or grabs our wealth to do what it wills?”

He thinks Iran is training Al Qaeda: he also thinks Iraq shares a border with Pakistan.”

Family Concerned After John McCain Wanders Into Syria

Rand Paul: Senate Is Arming Al-Qaeda and Rushing to War in Syria

You will be funding, today, the allies of al Qaeda.’ That was the declaration Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.; pictured) made on May 21 during a hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Paul’s comments were directed at his colleagues, nearly all of whom voted to send arms to Syrian rebels. Senators Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) and Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) co-sponsored the bill that authorizes ‘critical support to the Syrian opposition through provision of military assistance, training, and additional humanitarian support.’ The bill sailed through the committee, passing with bipartisan support by a vote of 15-3.”

“In fact, the same day President Obama announced our recognition of the opposition, rebel groups across Syria signed a petition pledging allegiance to the Jihad and asking America by name not to intervene. It’s hard to imagine that twelve years after 9/11, Senator McCain would be calling for US foreign and military aid be given to ‘the Jihad.’  Interestingly enough, this is the same Senator McCain who championed NDAA 2012, which gives our government the right to indefinitely detain Americans for doing exactly what he did: supporting elements aligned with al-Qaeda.”

Sen. John McCain makes unannounced visit to Syria to meet with rebel forces

“The senator did not comment on his trip. Rebel sources told the news they were thankful for McCain’s decision to visit Syria, calling it ‘very important and very useful.’  ‘What we want from the U.S. government is to take the decision to support the Syrian revolution with weapons and ammunition, anti-tank missiles and anti-aircraft weapons,’ Syrian Free Army Gen. Salem Idris told reporter John Rogin. ‘Of course we want a no-fly zone and we ask for strategic strikes against Hezbollah both inside Lebanon and inside Syria.’  McCain entered Syria through Turkey with the help of an American nonprofit called the Syrian Emergency Task Force, which works to support the rebels.”

That article mentions that ‘More than 80,000 Christians were forced to flee al-Qusayr in late 2012 to escape the frenzy of the jihadists.’ The U.S. is on the side of a collection of certain jihadist groups. Hezbollah, associated with Iran, has joined the Syrian government side. It is the prospect of an Assad win that has Obama, Kerry and the Senate warmongers scrambling with new propaganda angles so that they can find cover and more freely supply the rebels with stronger weapons.  They are also pushing to end an embargo on arms shipments from Europe.”
