James Altucher: How To Break All The Rules And Get Everything You Want
“The key is that we were simply nice to everyone and didn’t argue and were very thankful at everything we got to do. Don’t break the laws. Don’t kill people. Don’t steal. But most other rules can be bent. If you act like the river, you ultimately flow past all the rocks along the way.”

Withdrawing Consent Means More Than It May Seem
“Withdrawing consent does not mean being anti-social. Just the opposite. Going toward a natural order and society of life, freedom and property is the natural law alternative to the state and its artificial legalistic order. Withdrawing consent can go much deeper than these changes. It can mean seeking out the underground economy, homeschooling, leaving the country, and avoiding the mainstream media interpretations. I have the faith that the natural order of life, freedom and property is going to prevail eventually without using violence and that the state will some day be viewed as a perverse aberration based on false ideas.”

The Million Man Market
“Next time someone tries to gather a million people on the National Mall, let’s organize Lemonade Freedom activists, Raw Milk activists, Bitcoin enthusiasts, Silver bugs, Gold bugs and Agorist of all sorts to go to Washington DC and sell stuff to them. I’m talking about the most massive free market flash mob we’ve ever seen. Let’s feed the march. Lets sell them t-shirts, and buttons, and ice cream, and stickers, and whatever else anybody thinks will be a hot selling item. Let’s set up 10,000 new Bitcoin wallets. Let’s set up a whole guerrilla counter-economic conference, and let’s profit doing it. The political organizations will provide the customers. Let the Agorists provide everything else.”

FEMA Grounds Private Drones Helping To Map Floods, Threatens Arrests
“Boulder, Colorado has been hit by massive flooding over the past week, and it’s been something of a mess. A local company, Falcon UAV, makers of special drones which are built for the government, approved by the FAA, and specialize in using GPS and cameras to generate highly accurate maps, started helping to map the damage with those drones. It was basically making very useful, near real-time maps showing the floods. You’d think that would be useful to, say, FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency in charge of helping to coordinate the response to the floods. Instead, FEMA ordered the drones grounded or it would have people from Falcon UAV arrested.”
Young Greeks Helping Each Other to Combat Crisis
“The political class may have set the rules, but almost everyone adhered to them. Now the game is over, and there is no money left for fakelaki and rousfeti, corruption and nepotism, two basic principles of Greek political life until now. Suddenly there is room for those who want to set up new rules, and who want change and more cooperation. Some 3,000 initiatives were established throughout Greece in the last three years. They all have the same goal: to do things better than before. There are food cooperatives, community gardens, social pharmacies and neighborhood assistance programs for the poor. In Crete alone, there are now five alternative currencies.”
Who Are the Real Anarchists?
“While we can look back to Étienne de La Boétie to find some early writings on the subject, the nineteenth century produced numerous serious anarchist thinkers from Molinari to Proudhon in Europe and Spooner and Tucker in the United States. These nineteenth-century theorists would eventually be popularized and employed by Murray Rothbard in what has come to be known as anarcho-capitalism, the anarchist tradition of private property and free association. One can certainly debate Rothbard’s anarchist influence among Tea Partiers themselves, but the importance of Rothbard’s anarcho-capitalist thought within the larger libertarian movement is noteworthy.”
Ron Paul: The Homeschooling Revolution
“The Internet has made it easier than ever for parents to homeschool. Because of my interest in promoting alternatives to government-controlled education, this month I am launching my own homeschool curriculum. The Ron Paul Curriculum consists of a rigorous program of study in history, economics, mathematics, and the physical and natural sciences. Older students will also have the opportunity to gain experience creating and running their own on-line business. Frequent written assignments will ensure that students have the maximum opportunity to develop strong communication skills. Students and parents are invited to participate in on-line interactive forums.”
Whom would you HIRE to intervene in Syria?
“We have no problem with the police intervening to end a criminal shootout. So why do we so passionately oppose having the U.S. federal state intervene in Syria and other places? There are multiple reasons. The Feds have a really bad track record (you can read a summary here); Tend to support bad guys and establish dictatorships; Constantly create new enemies; Force all Americans to support these interventions, even when they offend personal conscience. But does this mean that we have to sit idly by and watch bad things happen to good people overseas? We don’t think so. Instead, imagine what would happen if we had a Separation of Intervention and State.”

Dennis Rodman (& Russia) Promoting Global Peace
“Dennis Rodman has a road-map to peace: ‘building trust and understanding through sport and cultural exchanges,’ as he put it. It’s slow, laborious and precludes lobbing bombs at North Korea or depriving its poor, long-suffering people of contact with the world. Rodman says this about his frequent visits to Pyongyang: ‘I know in time Americans will see I’m just trying to help us all get along and see eye to eye through basketball and with my friendship with Kim I know this will happen.’ On the other hand, a woman of war has just issued forth in support of Barack Obama’s adventure in Syria. Hillary Clinton or Dennis Rodman for public office? I know what my choice would be.”
