After 2 Years, Felony Charges For Mom Who Resisted Having her Child Confiscated

“Her daughter started having facial spasms and other signs of neurological damage. Maryanne discontinues the medicine. Child Protective Services gets wind of this and government enforcers come to force the mother to keep drugging her kid. When SWAT surrounded her house to confiscate her daughter, Maryanne Godboldo took a stand when the goons tried to break into her home. She held out for eight hours before the state seized her daughter. After months of expensive court battles, she finally got her daughter returned to her and the charges were dropped. After two years, felony charges have been reinstated on Maryanne.”

Illinois teacher in trouble for advising students about 5th Amendment before drug screening

“A high school teacher in Batavia, Illinois could be disciplined for informing his students of their Fifth Amendment rights before administering a survey school officials was intended to gauge their emotional needs. The Batavia Daily Herald reported on May 25 that social studies instructor John Dryden advised students of their right not to incriminate themselves before giving them a ‘screener’ survey on April 18 that had each student’s name printed on it. ‘I made a judgment call,’ Dryden told the Herald. ‘There was no time to ask anyone.’ Dryden could reportedly be issued a ‘letter of remedy,’ which would stay in his employment record.”

Cops Go Undercover at High School to Bust Special-Needs Kid for Pot

“Californians Doug and Catherine Snodgrass are suing their son’s high school for allowing undercover police officers to set up the 17-year-old special-needs student for a drug arrest. They were ‘thrilled’ when their son — who has Asperger’s and other disabilities and struggled to make friends — appeared to have instantly made a friend named Daniel. ‘Daniel,’ however, was an undercover cop with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department who ‘hounded’ the teenager to sell him his prescription medication. When he refused, the undercover cop gave him $20 to buy him weed, and he complied — not realizing the guy he wanted to befriend wanted him behind bars.”

After You Read This Kid’s Story, You’ll Think Twice About What You Post On Facebook.

“Meet Cameron D’Ambrosio. He’s 18 and lives in a small town outside Boston. He wants to be a rapper and calls himself ‘Cammy Dee’ in his YouTube videos. He’s been locked up without bail for weeks — facing terrorism charges and 20 years in prison — all for something he posted on Facebook. On May 1st, Cam was skipping school and messing around online. He posted some lyrics that included a vague reference to the Boston Marathon Bombing and called the Whitehouse a ‘federal house of horror.’ Shortly after that he was arrested and charged with Communicating a Terrorist Threat, a felony that carries 20 years in prison.”

Using a Gun to Save a Child’s Life in DC Will Get You a $1,000 Fine

“We have what at first seems like a feel-good story. A little boy is attacked by some vicious pit bulls. Other people in the neighborhood flee to protect themselves. But one man acts quickly and saves the child’s life.  Mr. Srigley seems like a great guy. Or at least a guy who did something great. Surely he was rewarded, right?  Did he get a commendation from the police department? A ceremonial key to the city from the Mayor? Don’t be silly. We’re talking about Washington, DC.”

Florida parent says ‘religious zealots’ got teen daughter arrested for lesbian relationship

“An 18-year-old girl was arrested for statutory rape over a same-sex relationship in Florida because of bigoted parents, according to the mother of the arrested teen. Kaitlyn Ashley Hunt was arrested February 16 by the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office on two counts of lewd or lascivious battery on child.  Her mother, Kelley Hunt Smith, explained on Facebook that Kaitlyn began a ‘mutual consenting’ relationship with a girl at Sebastian River High School who was about three years younger. The parents of the younger girl were upset by the situation and contacted police, she wrote.”

7 Teenagers Arrested for End-Of-Year Water Balloon Prank

“This year, a handful of students at Enloe High School in Raleigh North Carolina appear to have plotted perhaps the most unimaginative prank in high school history: tossing water balloons at other students. But thanks to aggression from the school’s administration and local police, the prank didn’t end peacefully. In anticipation of the prank, school officials called in ‘increased security’ and teachers held their students inside classrooms. After the balloons flew, seven boys were arrested, at least one handcuffed after being taken down down the asphalt by police.   Six are being charged with disorderly conduct, while one is being charged with assault and battery.”

The Government-Created “ME ME ME Generation”

“A generation educated in government schools, funded by government student loans, and unable to find jobs in a government/central bank twisted marketplace are called ‘lazy, entitled narcissists who still live with their parents.’  How shall the State solve this problem? Since obviously no one else possibly can…  How about some ‘Good Service’?  There you go.  The massive military empire, that has been at constant war for most (if not all) of our lives, can use some more recruits! Peace Corps, as they like to call it.  So of course! Why not force the ‘lazy, entitled narcissists’ to go out there to advance ‘U.S. foreign policy objectives’?”

Only Half Of College Grads Work Jobs That Require A Degree

EPJ13

“A college degree might not be worth the hassle and expense, according to a new study.  Almost half of four-year college graduates are working jobs that don’t require a bachelor’s degree, according to a study by McKinsey & Co. that asked 4,900 graduates about their careers after college.  Furthermore, around a third of college graduates said they did not feel that college had fully prepared them for the working world. Over half said they’d choose a different school or a different major if they could do it again.”

With ‘Charity’ For All

“Readers of a certain age will remember tedious elementary-school experiences with Drug Abuse Resistance Education, or D.A.R.E. Founded in 1983, D.A.R.E. was, at its height in the 1990s, used in 75% of U.S. school districts and in 54 countries around the world. There was just one problem: D.A.R.E. didn’t work. Long-term studies have shown overwhelmingly that the program produced no meaningful reduction in drug use and in some cases actually made kids more likely to use drugs. Yet the nonprofit survives, having consumed an estimated $10 billion to $15 billion in donor and taxpayer funds over the past decade.”
