The “Social Contract” Is a Fraud; Anyone Enforcing It Is A Criminal

“If an adult wants to sign away his rights and make himself a serf to politicians, that’s his choice, and I won’t take it from him. But for the deal to be legit, a clear agreement and authorizations on both sides are required.  Fraud is a ‘false representation with the intent of persuading the victim to part with property,’ and that is precisely what is being done with the social contract, and on a gigantic scale.  We have a supposed contract, and we have trillions of dollars changing hands, based upon its legitimacy. If, in fact, it is not a contract, then the entirety of the arrangement is a massive criminal fraud. So, is this ‘social contract’ legitimate? Let’s examine some crucial aspects of contracts.”

Prison warden that botched Arizona execution hired by OK D.O.C.

“Oklahoma’s Department of Corrections has hired the former warden of an Arizona prison where a lengthy botched execution occurred last month, records show.  On July 23, Joseph Rudolph Wood’s execution at the Florence prison took nearly two hours while the inmate snorted and gasped for breath. Wood was injected 15 times with an experimental combination of drugs, including midazolam, records show.  Midazolam is the same drug Oklahoma used for the first time in its April 29 botched execution of Clayton Lockett. Critics have said the drug does not qualify as a true anesthetic and has now been used in three executions that took substantially longer than typical lethal injections.”

Ron Paul: Nixon’s Vindication

131203122616-ron-paul-bitcoin-620xa1

“Forty years ago many Americans celebrated the demise of the imperial presidency with the resignation of Richard Nixon. Today it is clear they celebrated too soon. Nixon’s view of presidential powers, summed up in his infamous statement that, ‘when the president does it that means it is not illegal,’ is embraced by the majority of the political class.Nixon’s abuse of federal power to spy on his ‘enemies’ was abhorrent, but Nixon’s abuses of civil liberties pale in comparison to those of his successors. Today literally anyone in the world can be spied on, indefinitely detained, or placed on a presidential ‘kill list’ based on nothing more than a presidential order.”

Australia to Fly Guns and Ammunition Into Iraq

“An Australian military aircraft will soon fly guns and ammunition to the northern Iraqi city of Irbil to help Kurds fight Islamic State militants.  Prime Minister Tony Abbott said his government would join the United States, Britain, Canada, France and Italy in delivering rocket-propelled grenades, mortars and assault rifle ammunition at the request of the U.S. and Iraqi governments.  The opposition Labor Party, which opposed Australia sending 2,000 troops to back U.S. and British forces in the 2003 Iraq invasion, has supported the involvement in delivering weapons and munitions to the Kurds.  Abbott did not believe Australia’s military involvement in Iraq would increase the domestic terrorist threat.

Egypt battles energy crunch with ban on too-cold air conditioners

“Egypt, grappling with an energy crunch, will enforce a ban on the production and import of air conditioners that can be set lower than 20oC, aiming to reassure citizens and industry hit with power cuts and fuel shortages.  The ban on air conditioners outside the government’s specification will contribute to ‘easing the burden on Egyptian families,’ the minister added.  Long lines at gas stations and power cuts fuelled popular anger against president Mohamed Morsi ahead of his ouster by the army last summer.  He said the government will make a bigger push to distribute smart cards for fuel to cut smuggling and black market selling of gasoline.”

Democrats steamed that White House let the CIA censor a torture report

Senate Democrats engaged in a tug-of-war with the White House over heavy redactions to its long-delayed torture report remain furious that President Obama allowed the CIA to censor the document.  Months ago Democratic lawmakers asked the White House to lead the process of declassifying the report and are now blaming Obama for ceding that ground to the CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.  The White House is not saying exactly who was involved in the redaction process, but declassification decisions of such magnitude usually involve close scrutiny from top officials at the CIA, ODNI and National Security Council.”

Holiday in Thailand could end for expats

“Recent forced deportations of undocumented migrant workers from neighbouring Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos, as well as a campaign against grey industries including unlicensed taxis and street vendors, suggests the military government means business, said Rex Baay, an immigration consultant at Siam Legal International.  Thailand’s travel industry represents 20 percent of the country’s total economic output. Thailand’s medical tourism industry accounts for about 40 percent of the global market. Anything that restricts the free movement of foreigners into and out of the country is likely to impact Thailand’s economy.”

Rand Paul: Blame Dick Cheney for Iraq violence, not Obama

“Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. said many critics who blame the president for the ferocious Islamist insurgency in Iraq, like former Vice President Dick Cheney, should take a look in the mirror.  ‘I don’t blame President Obama,’ Paul told NBC News. ‘Has he really got the solution? Maybe there is no solution.’  Paul said those who have questioned the president’s approach should ask the same questions of those who supported the 2003 invasion of Iraq: ‘Were they right in their predictions? Were there weapons of mass destruction there? Was the war won in 2005, when many of those people said it was won?’  ‘They didn’t, really, I think understand the civil war that would break out,’ Paul said.”

The Silence of American Hawks About Kiev’s Atrocities

“For weeks, the US-backed regime in Kiev has been committing atrocities against its own citizens in southeastern Ukraine, regions heavily populated by Russian-speaking Ukrainians and ethnic Russians. While victimizing a growing number of innocent people, including children, and degrading America’s reputation, these military assaults on cities, captured on video, are generating pressure in Russia on President Vladimir Putin to ‘save our compatriots.’  The reaction of the Obama administration—as well as the new cold-war hawks in Congress and in the establishment media—has been twofold: silence interrupted only by occasional statements excusing and thus encouraging more atrocities by Kiev.”
