Syrian Islamist extremists in the opposition prepare for US missile strike

“In a statement disseminated on the Twitter account of one of its supporters, the radical group Fateh al-Islam offered advice to Islamists, warning that for every U.S. missile that hits a regime target, another will strike a jihadi base.  ‘Start changing your locations, and use safe houses, and don’t move around in obvious convoys,’ said the supporter, Abdullah Saker, detailing precautionary measures. ‘Take away mobile phones from the troops, and send them away from the leadership.’ ‘America destroyed jihadi bases in a very short period of time in Afghanistan and Iraq, and killed a large number of them, because they weren’t prepared. So don’t fall in the trap of laziness,’ he added.”

Obama’s Syrian Allies Bombard Christian Village

“Obama’s allies in Syria — those who will directly benefit from the coming US airstrikes — stepped up their genocide against Syrian Christians today, attacking Maaloula, a Christian village, indiscriminately using mortar shells fired from a hilltop above the village.
According to the press report:  ‘Maaloula, a mountain village some 40 miles (60 kilometers) northeast of Damascus, is home to about 2,000 residents, some of whom still speak a version of Aramaic, the ancient language of biblical times believed to have been spoken by Jesus.’  Will American Christians support a war for the genocide of Christians in Syria?”

Russian report on chemical attack indicates similarity with rebel-made weapons

“Probes from Khan al-Assal show chemicals used in the March 19 attack did not belong to standard Syrian army ammunition, and that the shell carrying the substance was similar to those made by a rebel fighter group, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.  The samples taken at the site of the March 19 attack and analyzed by Russian experts indicate that a projectile carrying the deadly nerve agent sarin was most likely fired at Khan al-Assal by the rebels, the ministry statement suggests, outlining the 100-page report handed over to the UN by Russia.”

Syria opposition ‘disappointed’ but thinks Congress will OK strike

“Syria’s main opposition bloc said Sunday it was disappointed with US President Barack Obama’s decision to seek approval from Congress for action against the regime, but said it believed lawmakers would OK a strike.  ‘We had a feeling of disappointment. We were expecting things to be quicker, that a strike would be imminent… But we believe Congress will approve a strike,’ said Samir Nashar, a top official at the Syrian National Coalition. To general surprise, Obama on Saturday postponed threatened missile strikes against Syria that the world had thought were imminent, opting instead for the risky gamble of getting Congress approval.”

Will The US Really Condemn Terrorism in Syria?
