More than 10,000 people have been killed in the conflict since March 2015 and three million have been displaced.”

Previous strikes in 1996, Operation Desert Strike, were ordered during a campaign finance scandal. Among the other allegations leveled in the article are claims that the Gulf War of 1991 was driven by a desire for profits and political gain, with the U.S. government and media glossing over the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis who were ‘demonized’ and ‘characterized as subhuman’.”

Murphy’s comments came a day after the House of Representatives voted 366-30 to passing a non-binding resolution that said the U.S. role in the war had not been authorized by Congress.”

The coalition is allied to Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who fled to Saudi Arabia when the Houthis took power in Yemen. According to the latest UN figures, the conflict has so far led to the deaths of over 5,000 civilians. More than 8,500 people have been injured in the ongoing fighting.”

“The city of Dickinson, Texas, told individuals and businesses on Monday that they are now accepting applications for ‘grants from the fund generously donated to the Dickinson Harvey Relief Fund’ for storm damage repair. In order to apply for the grant, however, applicants must agree to a number of clauses, one of which is asserting that they do not boycott Israel. The clause stems from a Texas law passed in May, which became effective on September 1, that requires all state contractors to verify in writing that they are not participating in boycotts of Israel.”
