The Top 6 Reasons Why Everyone Needs a Second Passport

“Doug Casey has said over and over that spreading your political risk beyond one jurisdiction is the single most important thing he can recommend today.  Obtaining a second passport and citizenship in another country is a critical part in heeding Doug’s advice.  This is because it’s a fundamental step towards minimizing the political risk of being subjected to the whims of any single government.  The political diversification benefits that come with obtaining a second passport are universal and prudent for anyone in the world to obtain… especially those under a desperate (fiscally or otherwise) government.  Here are the top six reasons why everyone needs a second passport.”

A List Of 97 Taxes Americans Pay Every Year

“This year Americans will spend more than 7 billion hours preparing their taxes and will hand over more than four trillion dollars to federal, state and local governments.  Americans will fork over nearly 30 percent of what they earn to pay their income taxes, but that is only a small part of the story.  As you will see below, there are dozens of other taxes that Americans pay every year. Our politicians have become extremely creative in finding ways to extract money from all of us, and most Americans don’t even realize what is being done to them.  By the time it is all said and done, a significant portion of the population ends up paying more than half of what they earn to the government.”

Aborted babies incinerated to heat UK hospitals

“The bodies of thousands of aborted and miscarried babies were incinerated as clinical waste, with some even used to heat hospitals, an investigation has found. Ten NHS trusts have admitted burning foetal remains alongside other rubbish while two others used the bodies in ‘waste-to-energy’ plants which generate power for heat.  Last night the Department of Health issued an instant ban on the practice which health minister Dr Dan Poulter branded ‘totally unacceptable.’  At least 15,500 foetal remains were incinerated by 27 NHS trusts over the last two years alone. Parents who lose children in early pregnancy were often treated without compassion and were not consulted about the remains.”

Sean’s Outpost Under Attack on Birthday

“In one year, we have fed 60,000 meals to the homeless people in the Pensacola area, secured a nine acre property with plans to open a campground for those in need of a safe area to stay, and opened a thrift store all through Bitcoin donations. Unfortunately, we are under attack by the City of Pensacola and the Board of County Commissioners for doing the right thing. The city and county have repeatedly stood in our way and hindered our efforts through trumped up citations and now with no prior notice, the Escambia Board of County Commissioners authorized the county attorney to file an injunction on Sean’s Outpost. This was passed with a 3-0 ‘vote’ with commissioners absent.”

Why expats are ditching their U.S. passports

“3,000 Americans around the world renounced their citizenship last year. Meet five U.S. citizens who have given up their passports — or are thinking about it — to escape an overly complicated tax code.”

12 Countries That Will Punish You For Insulting Their Heads Of State

“Even liberal little Netherlands has laws to protect its rulers’ honor. Intentionally insulting the monarch could earn you up to five years’ imprisonment or a fine, while the same offense against the monarch’s spouse, the heir apparent, the heir apparent’s spouse or the regent carries up to four years behind bars. And these laws don’t just sit gathering dust in the statute books, by the way: in 2007, two people were arrested for separately calling the then Queen Beatrix a ‘w–re,’ while in 2012 another two individuals found themselves with short prison sentences for making statements judged offensive to her dignity.”

Arrested Bitcoin Mogul Charlie Shrem Defiant In First Public Appearance

“In his speech, he compared Bitcoin to the printing press, arguing that just as governments and the Church opposed the democratizing effects of the first widely available books, financial and banking incumbents see the potential for Bitcoin to disassemble their control of the economy.  ‘This is something completely new in the history of human communication and Bitcoin is one of the largest socio-economic experiments human kind has ever seen,’ Shrem said.  Shrem’s rhetoric represents a marked change from his earlier approach to Bitcoin’s relationship with the government. He had been a vocal member of the Bitcoin Foundation, which took a lobbying approach.”

Southern Slavery: Two Systems of Management

portallogo3

“He was the most beloved slave owner in America — beloved by his slaves, not his peers. His name was John McDonogh.  He alone among all the slave owners in the South for over 200 years devised a system that made his slaves incomparably efficient. They were so efficient that he ceased to have any responsibility for managing his plantation, including all of the rental properties that he owned. The slaves did everything. They worked like maniacs. They literally ran from job to job. Another slave owner wanted to buy one of them. He was willing to pay $5,000 — in the range of $100,000 in today’s money. McDonogh refused to sell. He had a secret.”

Arizona deputies bust pot ‘compassion clubs’

“During the operation, investigators began to target a series of unlicensed medical-marijuana dispensaries known as ‘compassion clubs.’ The clubs emerged in Arizona when medical-marijuana card-holders did not have a dispensary where they could legally buy pot, but as state-sanctioned facilities opened the clubs have become obsolete and illegal.  Many of the compassion clubs were located in shopping centers, he said. Deputies seized marijuana that was baked into brownies and cookies, including Vanilla Critters, he said.  Deputies also seized automatic weapons, eight cars, a house and an ATM that contained marijuana, he said.”
