“Kotlikoff estimated the present value of the unfunded liabilities in 2012 as $222 trillion. I know of no estimate that places this lower than about $70 trillion. Note: these are unfunded liabilities, not total expenditures on the programs. There is no way statistically that this can be paid off. Liberals can dance around the figures, and pretend that ‘we’ are going to grow our way out of this. We are not going to grow our way out of this. The government is going to default its way out of this. It is indicative of the complete bankruptcy of the present political order that no national leader will face up publicly to these facts. This is true throughout the Western world.”

Paul Ehrlich predicted an imminent population catastrophe in 1965

“Mr. Ehrlich, a biologist specializing in butterflies, became famous in the 1970s after publishing ‘The Population Bomb’ (1968), in which he updated the 19th-century projections of Thomas Malthus—people were overbreeding, the supply of food and resources couldn’t possibly keep up—and dialed the calamity to 11. Within a few short years, hundreds of millions of people would starve to death as civilization unraveled. Or so predicted Mr. Ehrlich. ‘The Population Bomb’ was reprinted 22 times in the first three years alone, and its author would appear as Johnny Carson’s guest on ‘The Tonight Show’ at least 20 times.”

MIT Economist’s Audacious Paper on Economic Climate Models
“There is no underlying economic theory and we have no empirical data by which to estimate the impacts on humans coming from even moderate (let alone large) increases in global temperatures. Thus when economists design computer simulations of the global climate and economy, going centuries into the future, they literally just make up relationships between hypothetical temperature increases and the corresponding percentage decrease in the global GDP. Then, in an excellent illustration of ‘groupthink,’ the creators of these made-up damage functions justify them by pointing to third-party summaries done of their own (made-up) damage functions.”
John Kerry: Science on climate change is ‘irrefutable and it is alarming’

“US Secretary of State John Kerry said Monday the evidence for climate change was beyond dispute but it was not too late for international action to prevent its worst impacts. ‘The science is clear. It is irrefutable and it is alarming,’ Kerry told a climate conference in Majuro in the Marshall Islands in a video address from Washington. ‘If we continue down our current path, the impacts of climate change will only get worse.’ Kerry said without strong, immediate action, the world would experience threats to critical infrastructure, regional stability, public health, economic vitality, and the long-term viability of some states.”
Kerry: U.S. has firm evidence sarin gas was used in Syria attack

“‘Each day that goes by,’ Kerry said, ‘this case is getting stronger. I mean, today I’m at liberty to tell you that we now have samples back from first responders in East Damascus – those samples of hair and blood have been tested, and they have reported positive for signatures of sarin. So, we are now getting a stronger case each day. The credibility of the United States is on the line here and I believe that Congress will do the right thing.'”
Syria: Act of War or Military Strike?
“Although Obama denies that bombing has the purpose of regime change in Syria, it cannot be separated from that purpose. This is because Obama has openly called for Assad to step down. He made this call while ignoring elections and constitutional changes in Syria approved by the public. Well before the chemical event, he planned and considered a range of other acts of war such as a no-fly zone and even partition of the country into rebel and non-rebel areas. Obama has supported rebel groups in Syria by various means, including proxy countries like Saudi Arabia and Quatar, plus training rebels in Turkey and Jordan.”

Fukushima leak is ‘much worse than we were led to believe’

“They are worried about the enormous quantities of water, used to cool the reactor cores, which are now being stored on site. Some 1,000 tanks have been built to hold the water. But these are believed to be at around 85% of their capacity and every day an extra 400 tonnes of water are being added. ‘The quantities of water they are dealing with are absolutely gigantic,’ said Mycle Schneider, who has consulted widely for a variety of organisations and countries on nuclear issues. ‘What is the worse is the water leakage everywhere else – not just from the tanks. It is leaking out from the basements, it is leaking out from the cracks all over the place. Nobody can measure that.'”
Taxpayers funding study of link between marijuana, domestic violence

“The National Institute on Drug Abuse, a part of the Department of Health and Human Services, is granting $1.86 million to the University of Buffalo’s Research Institute on Addictions to investigate the drug’s link to aggression. The study will run from 2013 to 2017 and will follow couples in which one or both partners use marijuana to determine whether its use ‘results in affective, cognitive, or behavioral effects consistent with partner aggression.’ NIDA has a $1.05 billion budget for 2013 and has publicly acknowledged that it does not fund research into the potential benefits of medical marijuana.”
Blair likens Saddam to Hitler [2003]
“Comparing Saddam Hussein to Adolf Hitler, British Prime Minister Tony Blair says he would be pushing for Iraq’s disarmament ‘irrespective of the position of America.‘ Many have accused Blair of behaving like U.S. President George W. Bush’s lapdog. But Blair rejected suggestions that he had been dragged into confrontation with Iraq by Bush, insisting that he had raised concerns about Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction at his first meeting with the U.S. president, before the September 11 terror attacks. Britain, Spain and the United States are co-sponsoring a new U.N. resolution that could trigger war against Iraq. France, Russia, China are pushing to give U.N. weapons inspections more time.”
John Kerry: Assad is the new Hitler because of chem. weapon use

“Secretary of State John Kerry today compared Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad to Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein as he said new lab tests proved that deadly sarin nerve gas was used to kill nearly 1,500 civilians last month. ‘Bashar al-Assad now joins a list of Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussein who have used these weapons in time of war,’ Kerry told NBC’s ‘Face the Nation.’ Kerry called the murderous attack an ‘affront against the decency and sensibilities of the world.’ ‘So this case is building and this case will build.'”
