“In case you missed it, President Obama referred to the United States armed forces as ‘my military’ during a statement to the media regarding the Syrian crisis Friday. ‘But as I’ve already said,’ Obama noted, ‘I have had my military and our team look at a wide range of options.’ And Twitter users went and got themselves into a bit of a twist. What do you think? Innocent semantics, a slip of the tongue…or something else?”

Jon Stewart’s Slam Of Obama’s ‘Red Line’ Comment
“Jon Stewart pokes fun at Obama for his ‘red line’ comments and overall position on Syria.”

Syria: Act of War or Military Strike?
“Although Obama denies that bombing has the purpose of regime change in Syria, it cannot be separated from that purpose. This is because Obama has openly called for Assad to step down. He made this call while ignoring elections and constitutional changes in Syria approved by the public. Well before the chemical event, he planned and considered a range of other acts of war such as a no-fly zone and even partition of the country into rebel and non-rebel areas. Obama has supported rebel groups in Syria by various means, including proxy countries like Saudi Arabia and Quatar, plus training rebels in Turkey and Jordan.”

War in Syria: Madness on the Potomac

“The United States faces no serious military threats today, yet is constantly at war. Of course, the Syrian civil war is a tragedy, like many others throughout history. Civil wars may be the worst, often with few genuine good guys. The rebels are united only by their opposition to Assad. The strongest factions appear least interested in a liberal, democratic future for Syria and most interested in using Syria to attack Americans. To take military action on behalf of peripheral interests would be irresponsible even if doing so marginally enhanced U.S. credibility. Washington should erase the chemical ‘red line’ and in the future put U.S. credibility on the line only when substantial U.S. interests are at stake.”
Ron Paul: Will Congress Endorse Obama’s War Plans? Does it Matter?

“According to recent media reports, the military does not have enough money to attack Syria and would have to go to Congress for a supplemental appropriation to carry out the strikes. It seems our empire is at the end of its financial rope. The limited strikes that the president has called for in Syria would cost the US in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey wrote to Congress last month that just the training of Syrian rebels and ‘limited’ missile and air strikes would cost ‘in the billions’ of dollars. We should clearly understand what another war will do to the US economy, not to mention the effects of additional unknown costs such as a spike in fuel costs as oil skyrockets.”
What Are the Real Foes?
“It is very, very difficult for Obama to mount a case for warring on Syria on the grounds of defense or national security, that worn out appeal. His Secretary of State, John Kerry, is trying to wave the bloody flag of chemical warfare in its stead. Obama will continue to press the buttons of ‘deterrence’ and ‘weapons of mass destruction’ in order to divert attention away from the simple fact that attacking Syria is not an act of national defense. And not being an act of national defense, it is an act of aggression.”
Pat Buchanan: Chemical Attack ‘Reeks Of False Flag Operation’
“During an interview with Newsmax Thursday, three-time presidential adviser Pat Buchanan joined the growing number of mainstream voices now specifically labeling the recent chemical attacks in Syria as a false flag. Ron Paul’s statement calling the chemical attacks a false flag while on Fox News last Wednesday has seemingly opened the flood gates for other journalists to come forward with their similar findings. During an interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News Friday, photojournalist Jonathan Alpeyrie, who was kidnapped and held captive by Syrian rebels for 81 days last April, said he also believed the recent chemical attack was a rebel backed false flag operation.”

Bombing Syria Is An Act of War
“2 years ago the president told Assad to leave office. Looking for the lowest-cost way to accomplish this objective (without explicitly using American forces), the president then supported the rebels covertly. When the rebels lost ground in the last year, the president looked for a pretext. The chemical event, no matter how it came to be, is that pretext.
Although the president has tried to sell bombing as a limited one-time event in response to a chemical event, none of the major players believes this. They know that it is an act of war. The president further acknowledges that it is an act of war by seeking congressional approval.”

Don’t Photoshop Obama
“According to Breitbart, the White House released a photo of Obama skeet shooting at Camp David, with a stern warning: ‘This official White House photograph is being made available only for publication by news organizations and/or for personal use printing by the subject(s) of the photograph. The photograph may not be manipulated in any way and may not be used in commercial or political materials, advertisements, emails, products, promotions that in any way suggests approval or endorsement of the President, the First Family, or the White House.’ What ensued is this hilarious cascade of photo ops. And here’s an entire website dedicated to the best ‘shop’ of Obama skeet shooting.”

Obama On Football
“Men voluntarily getting together to play a rough-and-tumble game troubles him, but killing innocent men, women and children in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and who knows where else; torturing suspects; allowing police officers to exercise unrestrained force against people; none of these practices bother him? But as the state is defined as an institution enjoying a monopoly on the use of violence within a given territory, is his concern about the voluntary violence in football grounded in the need to protect the state’s monopoly from outsiders? While the Despot-in-Chief is on the topic, does he have any opinions about overtime rules, celebration penalties, the BCS system, or modifying the ‘fair catch’ rule?”
